Job Title: Marketing Technology Associate

Summary

Interested in making a big impact within a diversely skilled and nimble marketing team in the financial services industry? In this hands-on role, the Marketing Technology Associate is responsible for execution and project management of a variety of ongoing marketing projects, with a focus on marketing technology initiatives related to website, audio/video, ticketing, data mining, document management/distribution, and more. The role includes: planning, strategy, execution, reporting, approvals (management and compliance), project completion and maintenance. This position works directly with our product and marketing communications team members as well as external vendors, and under the direction of senior management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project briefs to provide scope, objectives and executional guidelines, with a focus on projects related to web, audio/video and data/document management
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and vendors (web developers, data partners, videographers, graphic designers, translators, proofreaders) to ensure timely completion of deliverables related to website data feeds/updates/enhancements/maintenance, audio/video recordings and editing, marketing technology system updates and maintenance, marketing materials
  • Manage marketing technology systems (Basecamp, Zendesk) to ensure optimal project management and completion
  • Employ CRM database information (Salesforce) to inform and assist with email marketing and other outreach campaigns, reporting and more
  • Co-ordinate the distribution and communication of updated and new material internally through document management software (Seismic), the weekly Playbook and internal meetings
  • Co-ordinate with compliance department to ensure marketing materials are approved in advance of distribution
  • Continually measure results, implement improvements and ensure marketing management has up-to-date and accurate information, including website traffic, campaign and marketing touchpoints reporting
  • Respond to Sales Department requests through Zendesk
  • Assist with execution of webcasts, social media, advertising projects and overall campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education, business focus preferred
  • One to three years of marketing technology and project management experience, preferably at a financial institution/association or marketing agency
  • Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, WordPress, PHP and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of SQL considered an asset
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PPT
  • Knowledge of/experience with Salesforce, Basecamp, Seismic and Zendesk considered an asset
  • Exposure to financial planning or investing is helpful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Job Title: Regional Associate

Summary

Interested in making a big impact within an experienced sales team targeting Canadian financial advisors? A rewarding growth opportunity is available for a result- and action-oriented go-getter who thrives within a team.
Based out of Western Canada or our Toronto head office, the Regional Associate works both independently and closely with the Regional Director(s) and sales management team to develop and implement a business plan to prospect and service investment advisors within a designated regional territory. Position will be hybrid with both in office and work from home days.
If you’re passionate about seeking out and building relationships with new and existing financial advisor clients, this role is for you. A heavy emphasis is placed on daily proactive outreach to and activity (calls, emails, meetings) in the Canadian broker/planner distribution channel, working to complement the Regional Director(s)’ efforts in the field and virtually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work to enhance sales within an assigned region
  • Outbound sales calls and direct emails to current and prospective financial advisors to:
    • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with financial advisors
    • Uncover sales opportunities for our products within the financial advisor community
    • Book client meetings and branch presentations
    • Achieve quarterly quotas
    • Add to pipeline through research, identifying key players, generating interest, qualifying and segmenting leads
    • Follow up on marketing engagement (e.g., email campaigns, webcast participation)
    • Execute on planned sales campaigns
    • Route qualified opportunities to Regional Director(s) for further development and closure, as appropriate
  • Answer incoming inquiries (calls, emails) from financial advisors and associates
  • Assist Regional Director(s) in booking and preparing for both in-person and virtual advisor and branch presentations, including calendar management (Note: this function may involve travel)
  • Apply departmental and firm-wide business practices to regional sales and servicing process
  • Maintain/update advisor profiles within Salesforce, including entering activity and opportunity details
  • Maintain knowledge of marketing materials associated with our products and value-add offerings to effectively communicate the firm’s investment philosophy and value proposition
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing ideas, wins and challenges

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of post-secondary education in finance/business
  • Minimum 1 year of financial services experience
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course preferred
  • Completion of CIM, CFA, CFP are assets
  • Strong phone presence, communication and listening skills
  • Goal-oriented and accountable
  • Experience working with CRM and presentation tools
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and individually
